Brucemore is partnering with the Eastern Iowa Arts Academy to bring you this brand-new Art at Brucemore project! In this workshop, participants will create a personalized journal to kick-off their journal “ecosystem” journey! Or, if you’re a long-time stationary enthusiast, you can include this handmade journal in your collection of notebooks, planners, and other paper products you use to chronicle your life. No matter where you are on your journaling journey, this workshop is for you.

This workshop is hosted in the Brucemore Carriage House. Following instructor guidance, participants will build their journal from scratch by binding pages the pages together and using materials and tools provided during the workshop to decorate their journal. Participants are encouraged to bring their own treasures (magazines, ribbon, stickers, stamps, etc.) to make the journal a truly personal work of art! You’ll be able to take your masterpiece home with you at the end of the workshop.

Please register by Wednesday, May 13 at 5:00 PM to reserve your spot. 

What to know before you go: 

• Workshop capacity is limited, and workshops often sell out. Advanced registration is required. 
• This workshop is recommended for participants above the age of 12. All children must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the workshop.
• All participants must purchase their own admission. This project is intended for one person to complete; sharing projects is not allowed. 
• This workshop lasts approximately two hours.

• Once onsite, please follow signs towards the Carriage House where there is onsite parking available. 
• Please check-in for the workshop with Brucemore staff at the Carriage House.

• Please consider leaving bags or other larger personal items in your vehicle A coat rack is available, but it's not monitored during the workshop.
