Santa, Snacks and Stories
Santa Claus is coming to Brucemore, and he wants to meet all the little ones in Cedar Rapids to make sure they made the Nice List this year. So, kids, make sure to bring your wish list to share with Santa, and adults, have that camera ready for the perfect snapshot! Check-out the other holiday activities inside the mansion during this event, including a craft, story time, and take-home snack.
Dates
- Sunday, November 30 and Tuesday, December 2
- 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM
- Entry times are every 30 minutes. Last entry time is at 7:00 PM.
Admission
- $5 Adult
- All adults accompanying children to this event must have a ticket for entrance.
- $10.00 Youth (12 and under)
- Infants through age 12 qualify for child pricing and must have a ticket for entrance.
- Brucemore supporters receive a $3 discount per ticket.
- A $4.00 processing fee will be applied to all online and phone orders.
What to know before you go
- Capacity is limited and entry times often sell out in advance.
- Admission includes activities and exploration on the first, second, and third floors of the mansion. The basement will not be open during this event.
- This event has limited capacity to keep the evening intimate and special. Tickets are only available for purchase in advance and will not be for sale at the door.

What to do when you arrive
- Please enter through the gate at 2160 Linden Dr. SE., Cedar Rapids, IA 52403. Please do not use the exit gate on First Avenue to enter the site.
- Once onsite, follow signs towards the mansion.
- There is on-site parking a short walk from the mansion entrance.
- Please check-in with mansion staff at your scheduled entry time, which can be found in your confirmation email or on your ticket.
- The mansion entrance is on the south side of the building, through the front door under the porte cochere next to the circle drive.

Tips for your visit
- Consider leaving bags or other large personal items in your vehicle. A coat rack is available, but it is not monitored.
- If parking near the mansion is full, there is overflow parking availabile near the Carriage House, which is a short walk from the mansion. Please see the estate map to view parking locations.
- Visiting the mansion consists of substantial walking and standing. The historic mansion is not currently wheelchair accessible. There are several stairs to access the first floor, and several flights of stairs to see the other floors - the mansion does not have an elevator. There is limited seating available in the mansion. Please make the best decision for the accessibility of your party with this knowledge.
- Early admittance may not be available and there is not an indoor lobby to wait for your event entry time.
- Visitors are encouraged to put on their hats and gloves to explore Brucemore's grounds during their visit! The estate includes a formal garden, a night garden, orchard, pet cemetery, and more that are especially beautiful after a snowfall.
- All ticket sales are non-refundable. Please read our ticket policy here.
- Photography is allowed inside the mansion for personal, non-professional use. Tripods, selfie-sticks, or other photography/videography equipment are not permitted. Please read our photo policy here.
- Have fun! We encourage you to wear something festive to get in the spirit and take photos in front of the beautiful trees. Tag us on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok to share your visit.
Please note: All ticket purchasers will be placed on a check-in list. When selecting your ticket delivery method, only pay for mailed tickets if you want a physical ticket to keep after your visit.
