Brucemore is partnering with the Iowa Ceramics Center and Glass Studio for a dough-licious addition to the Art at Brucemore series! In this workshop, participants will design a plate perfect for sharing cookies with all your favorite people this holiday season, including Santa. All workshop materials and instructions for the warm glass technique are provided, and no experience is necessary to participate!

Participants will craft their cookie plates at Brucemore. All projects will go back to the Iowa Ceramics Center and Glass Studio for firing in their kilns. Your creation will be ready for pick-up from the Iowa Ceramics Center and Glass Studio approximately three weeks following the class date, just in time to indulge in all your favorite holiday desserts!

Ticket sales close on November 27 at 5:00 PM, but this workshop often sells out in advance.

What to know before you go

• Capacity is limited and workshops often sell out. Advance registration is required.
• Recommended for children ages 8 up, and comfortable working with glass pieces. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
• Workshops last approximately 60 minutes.

What to do when you arrive

• Please enter through the gate at 2160 Linden Dr. SE., Cedar Rapids, IA 52405
• Once onsite, please follow signs towards the Carriage House, where there is on-site parking.
• Please check-in with Brucemore staff at the Carriage House.
• The Carriage House entrance is on the northwest side of the building.

Tips for your visit

• Please consider leaving bags or other larger personal items in your vehicle. A coat rack is available, but it is not monitored during the workshop.
• All ticket sales are final. Please read our ticket policy here.
• Visitors are encouraged to explore Brucemore’s grounds during their visit. Before or after your workshop, put on your hat and gloves and explore Brucemore’s ground during your visit! The estate includes a formal garden, a white garden, orchard, pet cemetery, and more that are especially beautiful after a snowfall.
