An Intimate Evening to Savor and Celebrate

Step into an elevated night of entertainment as Brucemore welcomes SPT Theatre back for A Modern Salon. Inspired by the Parisian salons of the early 20th century, this intimate event blends music and storytelling for a unique night of entertainment in a sophisticated setting. Before the performance, guests will enjoy a curated wine tasting paired with hors d’oeuvres. Intermission brings sparkling wine and decadent desserts.

This event is designed to give guests a taste of the luxurious parties hosted by the families who called Brucemore home. We invite you to celebrate in style with cocktail or creative evening attire that would impress even Irene Douglas.

Admission

• $75 Adult (21+)
• Brucemore supporters receive a $5 discount per ticket. Please log in to your account before purchasing tickets to receive your discount. If you need assistance, please call 319-362-7375.
• A $4.00 processing fee will be applied to all online and phone orders.

What to know before you go:

• This is a 21+ event.
• Cocktail or creative evening attire is encouraged.
• Admission includes appetizers, desserts, wine-tasting, sparking wine, and non-alcoholic beverage options. If you have any questions about the menu, please contact us at 319-362-7375 or by email.
• Doors will open at 7:00 PM. Please do not arrive early as we do not have a lobby to allow guests to wait inside.

What to do when you arrive:

• Enter through the gate at 2160 Linden Dr. SE., Cedar Rapids, IA 52403. Please do not enter through the exit gate on First Avenue.
• Once on-site, follow signs towards the mansion.
• Follow signs to the on-site parking a short walk from the mansion entrance.
• The mansion entrance is on the south side of the building, through the door under the porte cochere next to the circle drive.
• Check in at the door by providing the name on your ticket order. You do not need to print tickets to enter the event.

Tips for your visit:

• Enjoy a selection of wine and light appetizers from 7:00 PM to 7:30 PM.
• There will be one 20-minute intermission during the performance. Please enjoy sparkling wine, coffee, and desserts during this time.
• We will have a coat rack available, but it will not be monitored during the performance. Due to space being limited around the seating area, please consider leaving large bags and valuables at home or in your car.
• The historic mansion is not currently wheelchair accessible. There are several stairs to access the first floor, where the event is held. Please make the best decision for the accessibility of your party with this knowledge or call for more specific information.
• Photography is allowed for personal, non-commercial use. Tripods, selfie-sticks or other photography equipment will not be permitted. Photographs should not distract from others enjoyment.

Ticket and Weather Policies:

• If the event cannot be held due to weather, a decision will be made by 5:00 PM and posted on Brucemore’s website and social media. Ticket holders will be notified by phone.

Please note: All ticket purchasers will be placed on a check-in list. When selecting your ticket delivery method, only pay for mailed tickets if you want a physical ticket to keep after your visit.
