Embrace the sparkle of the season!
Brucemore is partnering with the Iowa Ceramics Center and Glass Studio for another popular workshop, just in time to kick off the holiday season! In this workshop, you will design a beautiful wreath ornament made of glass. All materials and instructions are provided, and no experience is necessary to participate.
Participants will craft and set their ornaments at Brucemore. All projects will go back to the Iowa Ceramics Center and Glass Studio for firing in their kilns. Your creation will be ready for pick-up from the Iowa Ceramics Center and Glass Studio approximately three weeks following the workshop date, just in time to hang your masterpiece on your tree!
Ticket sales close on November 13 at 5:00 PM, but this workshop often sells out in advance.

Admission
$40 for one ornament; $55 for two ornaments
Note: All participants must purchase their own admission. The two ornament option is for one participant to create two projects.
What to know before you go
- Capacity is limited and workshops often sell out. Advance registration is required.
- Recommended for children ages 8 up, and comfortable working with glass pieces. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
- Workshops last approximately 60 minutes.

What to do when you arrive
- Please enter through the gate at 2160 Linden Dr. SE., Cedar Rapids, IA 52405
- Once onsite, please follow signs towards the Carriage House, where there is on-site parking.
- Please check-in with Brucemore staff at the Carriage House.
- The Carriage House entrance is on the northwest side of the building.
Tips for your visit
- Please consider leaving bags or other larger personal items in your vehicle. A coat rack is available, but it is not monitored during the workshop.
- All ticket sales are final. Please read our ticket policy here.
- Visitors are encouraged to explore Brucemore’s grounds during their visit. Before or after your workshop, put on your hat and gloves and explore Brucemore’s grounds! The estate includes a formal garden, a white garden, orchard, pet cemetery, and more that are especially beautiful after a snowfall.
