What’s in a Name
Seriously - what’s in a name? The answer can be more profound, and sometimes more surprising than you think, from the name of a lover to the name of a drifter. Join three cutting-edge singers, and the Brucemore Boys & Friends as we explore the stories and tales of names that moved mountains and changed lives.
Surprise, Surprise, Surprise!
Come see what we cook up with some of the best musicians & performers in a big melting pot of styles and forms. This show, created specifically for Brucemore, is one weekend only. In the setting of this Iowa treasure, come enjoy the camaraderie of fellow community and the talent of people you know - and don’t yet know - and be surprised, surprised, surprised by what they do!

Admission:
- Individual Seat: $30 ($25 for donors)
- Table of 4: $110 ($90 for donors)
- Table of 5: $140 ($115 for donor)

- A $4.00 processing fee will be applied to all online and phone orders.
How does seating work?
- Seating is a on first come basis around 30″ cocktail tables.
- Individual ticket holders will be seated at tables with others who have purchased individual tickets.
- Tables of 4 are guaranteed to have their own table but the table location will not be reserved.
- Tables of five or orders with multiple tables will be given reserved seating to help facilitate a smooth check-in process.
- If you need accessibility accommodations, please call us ahead of the event at 319-362-7375 or send an email.
Things to know before you arrive:
- This event takes place outdoors on pavement.
- The site will open at 7:00 PM for parking and seating. The performance will begin at 7:30 PM.
- The only gate that will open to vehicles for on-site parking is at 2160 Linden Drive SE. Please arrive by 7:25 PM as the gate will close promptly.
- You are welcome to bring your own snacks and beverages (beer and wine allowed) to enjoy at your table beginning as early as 7:00 PM or throughout the show. Concessions will not be available for sale at this event.
- Pets are not allowed, with the exception of service animals.
- This event takes place outdoors and may continue in light rain.
What to do when you arrive:
- Please enter through the gate at 2160 Linden Drive SE.
- Follow signage and staff directions to open parking spaces near the Carriage House or on the grounds of Brucemore. Accessible parking will be available.
- Check in with the staff member at the Courtyard entrance by providing the name on your order.
- Follow staff and volunteer directions to find your seats.
Ticket Policies: All ticket sales are non-refundable. Please read our ticket policy here. Online and phone orders are subject to a $4.00 processing fee per order.
Weather: The event occurs fully outdoors and may be held in light rain. If the event cannot be held due to weather, a decision will be made by 5:00 PM and posted on Brucemore’s website and social media. Ticket holders will be notified by phone. There will be no refunds, only exchanges to another date if tickets are available.

Your attendance at this event grants your permission to be in these photos or videos, which may be used for educational, archival, or promotional purposes.
